11 October - The Saturday Social Sewing Session
Do you have that sewing project you've been putting off finishing? Or maybe you have a pile of clothes that need a little love, whether it's a quick hem or a tricky repair?
The Saturday Social Sewing Session is for you!
We provide a relaxed, welcoming space where you can get creative and connect with other people who share your passion for sewing.
Bring along whatever you're working on—big or small. Whether it's a new dress, a patchwork quilt, or a simple mending job, you'll find everything you need to get it done.
Use one of our vintage Swiss sewing machines or bring along your own machine. We will also have an overlocker and iron and ironing board on hand.
You'll be in good company, with a friendly group of fellow sewists ready to share tips, tricks, and hopefully a few laughs.
It's the perfect opportunity to make new friends and get inspired by what others are creating, and a relaxed and fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. You can work on your project at your own pace while enjoying a chat and a cup of tea.
What’s included?
Use of our sewing machines, overlocker, iron and ironing board (or bring your own machine)
Sewing tools such as scissors, seam rippers and tape measures, or buy your own from our shop online or in person on the day.
Tea and biscuits.
Where and when?
We are kicking off our first Saturday Social Sewing Session on
Saturday 11 October from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, at
65 Great North Road, Grey Lynn (upstairs room 3)
Limited places. Book your spot now!
